At least we know season three is on its way, and for fans of Mando and his loveable muppet companion, this is very good news indeed - now it's just a case of waiting for it.
While there's a consistent stream of Star Wars spin-offs also being released, with Andor and Obi-Wan Kenobi already available, and Ahsoka on the way too, The Mandalorian still remains one of the firm favourites in the galaxy.
The third season of the American television series The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal as the title character, a bounty hunter traveling to Mandalore to redeem his past transgressions with his companion Grogu. It is part of the Star Wars franchise, set after the events of Return of the Jedi (1983). The season is produced by Lucasfilm, Fairview Entertainment, and Golem Creations, with Jon Favreau serving as showrunner.
Season 3 begins Wednesday, March 1. Over eight episodes, it'll reveal what happened to Grogu and Mando after reuniting in The Book of Boba Fett, and deal with the fallout of Mando being cast out of his intense religious sect in season 2 for removing his helmet.
The second season of the show ended in late 2020, and we had to wait until Disney's D23 convention last September for the upcoming season's first trailer.
You don't have to wait for a new dose of a galaxy far, far away on Disney Plus though -- season 2 of CGI animated series The Bad Batch is currently streaming with new episodes each week until late March.Read more
